It’s a Mardi Gras theme this year, so wear your masks; we’ll provide the beads. Doors open at 5:00 pm for a social hour, no-host bar, and silent auction perusing, followed by the dinner seating and performance at 6:00 pm.
The admission is $35 per person or $60 per couple (kids are discounted) and includes not only a three-course Cajun dinner, but a concert by Nedra and Julio, and a complimentary beverage. The featured cocktail is the Hurricane, made world famous in New Orleans, home of the Mardi Gras.
Pine Grove residents Nedra Russ, aka “The Harmonica Lady” and Julio "in-glasses" Guerra, make up “njr” – the popular foothill acoustic songwriting duo of the Americana tradition. Their music is inspired by traditional Blues, Folk, Country, Old-Time Mountain, and Rock roots. They’ll even be playing some funky New Orleans tunes for the evening. Nedra's hard-driving harmonica and soulful vocals on top of Julio's solid rhythm guitar make them “an orchestra of two.”
