FACL Spring Book Sale Set for April 20–22

JACKSON, CA - Good quality books covering a wide range of subjects–from romantic and literary fiction, mysteries and biographies to children’s–will be on sale at the spring book sale April 20-22 sponsored by the Friends of the Amador County Library (FACL). The always-popular sale once again promises to offer thousands of titles donated throughout the year to benefit and support the Amador County Library.

The sale will be open as follows:

Friday, April 20, 4 to 7 pm
Opening night is for FACL members only. Non-members can join at the door.

Saturday, April 21, 10 am to 4 pm
Open to the general public.

Sunday, April 22, 11 am to 3 pm
Open to the general public.
Bargain day–Everything 50% off

The sale is held at the Post 108 American Legion Hall, 12134 Airport Road, Sutter Creek, on Hwy 49 across from the Italian Picnic Grounds.

Twice a year FACL offers the community a chance to buy books, music CDs, and DVDs at incredibly low prices, with hardbacks going for just $2. Many excellent trade paperbacks are available for just $1 and special “coffee table books” are a steal, with many marked under $5. This year, those who purchase $25 or more will receive a free canvas book bag while supplies last.

Proceeds from the sale go to assist the library’s broad range of services including an outstanding book collection, computers for public use, literacy tutoring, children’s reading programs and much more. FACL has raised money to buy a DVD storage and check-out system as well as new shelving for the Jackson main library, help remodel the Ione branch, and support for many other library activities and resources.
