Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp: A Visit From Russell’s Kitchen

A group of nine volunteers from Russell’s Kitchen arrived at Pine Grove Youth Conservation Camp to share the afternoon with our fire fighters. They started out the visit by sharing music and inspiring messages with the guys. They offered words of encouragement to them, and to help them out with job assistance when they are released.  They have contacts throughout California to help others with employment opportunities.  Later in the day they broke up into small groups to discuss scripture and personal stories that related to it with the volunteers. Music was played intermittently throughout the day.  A wonderful lunch was then provided by the volunteers and the kitchen staff. The volunteers served Tortas and watermelon. The kitchen added French fries and cake to the meal.  All attendees had a great time, and were thankful to the volunteers for taking time out of their busy schedules to come to the camp. The volunteers will be returning in July. They will then be baptizing some of our youth that have chosen to do so.
